What You'll Do
Provide technical support for Retail Merchandising, WM, sales audit, and planning applications as neededPartner with for Merchandising, WMS, and Finance teams for their projectsPerform analyses on software application functionality and suggest improvements, solidify requirements and code as per requirements to deliver the solutionUtilize diligence for error resolution, logs, and audit process for existing and new applicationsWork on critical projects and deliver technical requirementsManage 3rd party vendors and ensure on time delivery or their tasksConsult with the software development team, internal users, and clients to improve application performanceManage tickets across multiple business system environments to ensure continued and synchronized operationsEstablish the root causes of application errors and escalate serious concerns to the VendorMaintain a record of escalation and schedule application updatesDocument processes and monitor application performanceProvide front-end support to clients and colleagues in ITRespond to general questions and tickets in a timely mannerResearch, diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify potential solutions for how to resolve issues for Tier 1 and Tier 2 incidentsPrioritize multiple open issues, and deliver solutions in a timely mannerDocument issue triage as troubleshooting progressesFollow best practices for change control of proposed solutionsProcess Tickets for APTOS, ORACLE, and other systemsReport common issues identified from service partners for escalationPerform other specific duties or assignments as directed by enterprise applications director and managerJob RequirementsWhat You Bring
A bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, information systems, computer engineering, or similar5+ years demonstrable experience as technical lead in the retail industryTechnical knowledge of Merchandising system, WMS systems, and FinanceKnowledge of front-end and back-end programming languages (i.e. SQL, JAVA, HTML, .net, PLSQL)Good knowledge of integrationGood knowledge of version control and batch processAbility to manage triage, resolution, document configuration changes, and monitor performanceExceptional ability to provide front-end support to internal departments and web-based clientsDetermination to get to the root causes of application errors and resolve issuesProject management skills; the ability to run some projectsAbility to use various incident tracking toolsExceptional verbal and written communication skillsOther Notes:
Info from Vaishali on this role.Looking for someone to support the financial system and if they have Microsoft development experience that would be wonderful.This person needs to communicate and speak properly to the finance team.At this time, this person needs to have Great Plains and some retail.The need to know what sales audit and merchandising is.If they have only Oracle EBS that will not help MRG at this time in this position.
