We are currently seeking an Enterprise Applications Engineer responsible for implementing, testing and maintaining the firm's primary software applications. Applications include, but are not limited to, legal document management systems, M365 and legal software add-ins, PDF applications, collaboration platforms as well as specialized applications for legal practice groups and individual users.
This hybrid position is based in the firm's New York offices in Hudson Yards,3 days a week.
What will the Applications Engineer Do?
Install, maintain and provide technical expertise for a legal industry suite of software tools to support the delivery of legal services to clientsServe as primary technical resource for the administration and support of the firm's document management systemPerform application integration, configuration and packaging requirementsActs as the subject matter expert for enterprise applications to ensure ease of use and full leverage of the toolsDefine and maintain firm standards for implementing softwarePerform QA testing of new application installs and upgradesTroubleshoot and resolve application problems and configuration enhancement requestsAssist with the creation of training materialsSeek out, evaluate and propose enhancements, updates and new software solutionsSupport the transition of legacy on-prem applications to cloud applicationsWorks closely with the Information Security team, prioritizing implementation of secure architecture, security controls and security patches.Ensures all team, departmental and firm policies and procedures are adhered to, including technical change management and service continuity
What skills and experience are we looking for in a Legal Applications Engineer?5+ years of experience in applications engineering in a law firm or professional services organization5+ years experience administering iManage or NetDocumentsExperience with M365 and legal industry add-ins, Teams and One DriveExperience supporting migrations to, and maintaining, M365, hosted document management systems and other cloud applicationsUnderstanding of user identity and application security modelsStrong knowledge of legal industry application requirements, best practices and industry standardsDetail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks and heavy workloads efficientlyProactive, self-learner who is motivated & results-oriented with a positive, team-player attitudeFlexibility to work outside scheduled hours (9:30am-5:30pm EST) as requiredBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline desirableWhat's in it for you?
