is looking for a Special Projects Manager to improve processes and help grow our business. The SPM will sit in our corporate HQ in Cummings Research Park, Huntsville, AL.

Description:

The Special Projects Manager applies specialized education and/or knowledge and experience in the areas of programmatic, scheduling, business development, program control, contract administration, financial management, configuration management, logistics, military operations, integration, training or other professional analytical or administrative function. Leads or supports corporate initiatives that are defined by executive management.

Responsibilities:

• Provides day-to-day management of all project activities for project. Manages and reports project cost, schedule, and performance.

• Manages personnel staffing and other administrative functions to meet established performance objectives.

• Accountable for management of current projects and enable capture of future business.

• Provides input to proposals, takes part in proposal teams and product submission for developing business.

• Provides a wide range of support activities to management in the area of new business development, special projects.

• Supports opportunity analysis by serving individually or as a member of a team to evaluate potential new business opportunities.

• Evaluates potential teaming strategies, evaluates bid posture for competitiveness, speaking with potential primes and subs on capabilities, identification and mitigation of corporate risk issues in new business opportunities.

• Supports tasks related to either improvement of business operations or to ensure compliance with a contractual or other legal requirement.

• Researches and develops SBIR/STTR candidate submittals.

• Develops and establishes in conjunction with Protégé companies a business development pipeline and manage the lifecycle of an agreed Protégé opportunity.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.

• PMP or DAU Level III certification desirable.

• Must have experience with proposal development review teams.

• Must have contract execution experience.

• Experience in Business Development and Establishment of a Business Pipeline.

• Proposal Lifecycle management and proposal writing experience is required.

• Experience with the DOD Mentor Protegy program desired.
