Triaplex, Inc. is looking for a
VMWare Systems Administrator
with a strong background in
vSphere Administration, Linux and Windows Systems Administration
to join our team. This position will support a mission-focused customer in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running installing, maintaining, and patching VMs running in multiple disparate environments and with both Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
Key Responsibilities
VMware vSphere (vCenter and ESXi) experience support multi-site environments
VMware Horizon VDI experience supporting a geographically disperse enterprise with a mix of persistent and instant clone desktops
Creating Microsoft Windows golden images
HP thin clients and HP Device Manager (HPDM)
VMware App Volume experience to include application capturing and trouble shooting
VMware Unified Access Gateway
Capacity planning for geographically distributed enterprise level systems
Converting customer requirements into a technical plan
Full life cycle of system development
Working with PKI certificates and keys
Understanding features and administrative responsibilities for maintaining the health, scalability, manageability, and security for the Atlassian applications and plugins using Data Center
Gather and translate business requirements into Jira projects and dashboards
Agile software development processes
Use Linux for application upgrades and troubleshoot service disruptions
Use JavaScript to enhance automation of Jira projects
General troubleshooting skills in Linux, and Puppet
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
Proven SME level expertise with VMs, vSphere, and hypervisors
TS/SCI with polygraph
Desired Skillsets
Basic understanding of network communications
Basic understanding of enterprise storage technology, specifically Network Attached Storage (NAS) via Network File System (NFS)
Maintaining a VMware or Hyper-V infrastructure
Basic understanding of Linux commands
Basic understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPO)
VMware PowerCLI using Microsoft PowerShell
Understanding basics of project management to include understanding resource planning for technical projects
Creating end user, admin, and system documentation
One or more of the following Certifications:
Atlassian Certification
Microsoft Certifications
Cisco Network Certifications
Linux Certifications
VMware Certifications
ITIL certifications
Cloudera Certified Administrator
Jira Administration for Data Center & Server (SCP-100)
Jira Essentials with Agile Mindset
