Job Summary

The Program Director is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the agency and contributing to long-term planning processes. The Program Director works closely with our Clinical Director and Executive Director. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health services administration, contract management, and vendor relations. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Please note that this role is NOT eligible to work remotely or hybrid.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Management: Manage contracts with various stakeholders, ensuring compliance and effective utilization of resources.

Liaison: Serve as the primary liaison with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (DMH) and other departments as needed.

Financial Management: Approve invoices, manage budgets, and request additional funding or allocation shifts as necessary.

Policy Development: Develop and update non-clinical policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Vendor Management: Manage contracts and relationships with various vendors, including but not limited to electronic health records, human resources, and maintenance.

Audit Management: Manage or assist with audits by the Los Angeles County Auditor-Controller and annual fiscal audit.

Human Resources: Oversee all aspects of human resources, including onboarding, record maintenance, and compliance with HR laws.

Legal Compliance: Address minor legal issues and collaborate with corporate counsel on major legal issues.

Staff Management: Manage administrative staff, including information technology, billing, and reception.

Performance Management: Exercise diligent oversight of staff performance to ensure operational efficiency.

Leadership and Morale: Foster a positive and supportive environment to maintain both client and staff morale.

Client Satisfaction: Strive to uphold high levels of client satisfaction.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in administrative management.

Strong understanding of contract management and vendor relations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mental health services administration.

Experience working for a Los Angeles County Dept. of Mental Health contracted agency.

Knowledge of Medi-Cal and other relevant healthcare reimbursement systems.

Experience with electronic health record systems and other relevant software.

Proven track record of growing a business or expanding services within a healthcare setting.

Experience fundraising or securing funding.
