The Foundation of The Greater Miami Jewish Federation holds nearly $500 million in assets, representing more than 700 individuals, families and organizations. The Foundation serves as the planned giving, endowment and legacy arm of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and provides long-term funding to sustain and enhance a vibrant local Jewish community. The Foundation has a 50+ year history partnering with donors, professional advisors and Jewish agencies and synagogues to build a strong Jewish future in Miami, Israel and around the world.

The Foundation seeks a detail-oriented, operations and customer-centric, energetic, amicable and highly organized operations professional to provide key support to the Foundation staff, fund holders and volunteers. This position is ideal for a person who is looking for a stimulating and dynamic work environment, enjoys multi-tasking and trouble-shooting, and possesses the ability to work both independently and with multiple team or committee members. This individual will receive training and will have the opportunity to learn about endowment fund development, management and the inner workings of a charitable foundation.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Serve as point person to fund holders in the operation of their donor-advised funds by conducting due diligence of grantees, processing grant requests, and reportingManage the online portal for all Foundation funds and fundholdersAssist Finance and Planning Departments with the management of designated endowment fundsFulfill monthly reporting and management study requests for Board MeetingsUtilize various communication means to process correspondenceCollaborate with the Investment Operations Manager, Chief Financial Officer, and accounting teamMaintain filing and organizational systems, including donor database and calendarPerform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and CompetenciesBachelor’s degree required, preferably with business major2-5 years of work experience in administrative or accounting field or in roles requiring high attention to detailStrong written and spoken (English) communication and administrative skillsHigh level of computer literacy including MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPointexperience with mail merges and customer or donor databases and platformsExceptional time management, planning and administrative skills and telephone etiquetteAbility to organize and prioritize workloadDemonstrated high level of diplomacy, sound judgment and discretionHigh degree of energy, self-motivation and flexibilityExperience in not-for-profit organizations with fundraising activities a plusKnowledge of the Jewish community a plus
