Work Type: Remote or Hybrid (2-3 days/week onsite in Crystal City, VA)

Our client, a leading provider of Artificial Intelligence Integration Services and innovative data platforms for government and defense clients, is recruiting a full-time Cyber Security Engineer. What You Will Do:
As a DevOps & Kubernetes Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development, implementation, and management of the infrastructure and deployment processes for various Department of Defense programs. Your primary focus will be on building and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure Kubernetes environments, as well as automating deployment pipelines to ensure seamless delivery of applications.
Responsibilities: • 6+ years working with Kubernetes or equivalent application platform. Ideal candidate has knowledge in: Containerization, Cluster Administration, CI/CD Deployments, IAC'ed Bootstrap and Deployment • 6+ years working with AWS constructs, at least one major serverless application architecture/deployment. More than simply "experience building EC2s," the candidate has experience and knowledge around: Serverless Cloud , VM Instances, Cloud Specific Kubernetes Offerings (EKS, AKS, GKE), Storage Solutions (S3, EBS, EFS) • Knowledge of DevOps, DevSecOps, and best practices, including: CI/CD, Platform • Kubernetes Management: Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters to ensure high availability, scalability, and security. • Infrastructure Automation: Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible & CFT. • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes. • Monitoring and Logging: Set up and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of applications and infrastructure. • Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to understand application requirements and support them in deploying applications to Kubernetes environments. • Security: Implement and manage security best practices for Kubernetes clusters and CI/CD pipelines. • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues in production, test, and development environments. • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, processes, and tools.
Requirements: • US Citizenship Required: Only US Citizens are eligible for this position. • Clearance: US Citizens, our client will sponsor security clearance. • Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in a DevOps or related role with hands-on experience in managing Kubernetes environments. • Kubernetes Proficiency: Strong experience with Kubernetes, including deployment, scaling, and managing clusters. • Automation Tools: Proficient with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible. • CI/CD Tools: Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar. • Cloud Services: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. • Scripting Languages: Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Go. • Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar. • Security Practices: Knowledge of security best practices for Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines. • Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment. • Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. • Detail-oriented: Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results. • Location: Remote or 2-3 days/week onsite in the DC Metro area.
Nice to Have: • Recent DoD or IC-related experience. • Certification in Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD) or related technologies. • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate • Some familiarity with Active Directory constructs • Familiarity with AI/ML tooling (Kubeflow, Sagemaker) • Familiarity with "big data" tooling (Hadoop, Spark, RedShift, HDFS) • Willingness to function on the bleeding edge of commercial constructs in a secure and restricted environment
