After launching a new global rebrand and website, we're in need of a seasoned brand storyteller and marketing leader to keep our content marketing engine humming. This role will report to the VP of Global Marketing in Boston's stunning Seaport District. In this role, you'll work with some of the brightest marketing and supply chain management minds while enjoying a high-energy, start-up-like environment with the stability of a 22-year, $2.2B brand.

This is an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial-minded content marketer who is passionate about storytelling, omni-channel customer experiences, and, most importantly, business outcomes. In this role, you will build out our content marketing program, write captivating content, and own the interpretive lens we use to communicate with our external audiences and internal stakeholders. Strategic Planning & Process

Develop a robust content strategy and detailed global execution plan that includes translation/localization/transcreation. Own and lead our editorial calendar and publishing cadence across all media channels to support brand awareness, demand generation, lead nurturing, and customer engagement/brand advocacy. Roll out a formal creative brief process and coach teams on interpreting creative briefs to develop and produce exceptional creative campaigns & content. Work with other team members to develop and maintain our internal brand style, editorial, and voice and video guidelines for consistency in messaging. Manage creative agencies and hold them accountable at every stage of the process.

Content Creation

Use internal and external sources to deeply understand our buyers to inform your team's content strategy and execution plan. Continually gather feedback from sellers, subject matter experts, and customers to revise and improve new and existing content. Partner with campaign managers, designers, and sales to curate content ideas, generate new campaign concepts and turn messaging into compelling copy that engages buyers at every stage of the sales funnel. Write long- and short-form copy (e.g., infographics, video scripts, print & digital ads, blogs, sales collateral, event promos) for various channels (e.g., web, mobile, email, direct mail, paid & owned media, field marketing etc...). Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand audience segments and create content to meet various audiences at every stage of the buyer's journey. Lead global content transcreation/acculturation process and manage translation vendors to ensure the highest return on content investments. Conduct A/B testing to optimize traffic, engagement, and conversion tactics. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of communications and marketing best practices as well as industry trends in supply chain management. Comfortably present content strategies and business outcomes to the c-suite.

Content Measurement

Develop and monitor KPIs (key performance indicators) and dashboards; report out daily, weekly, and monthly; hold yourself & your team accountable. Promote content across multiple media channels globally to ensure the highest return on investment.

Day-to-Day Work

Writing: Write original copy for all content (ads, blogs, emails, white papers, eBooks, infographics). Lead the content workflow creation process to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and adherence to SEO guidelines and a focus on conversion (e.g., cross-links, clear calls to action, no dead ends in the journey) Content Strategy: Develop a data-driven strategy and execution plan that includes differentiated storytelling for core content pillars and content blueprints for each stage of the journey by the audience. Teach sales and local marketing teams how to use atomized and long-form content. Manage and socialize the annual editorial calendar. Content Ideation, Research, Testing: Work with the creative team to ideate creative concepts. Conduct internal & external research. Oversee message & concept testing to validate hypotheses & inform future decisions. Content Measurement & Optimization: Ensure messaging and creative concepts are working. Adjust strategies based on A/B, and multivariate testing for better outcomes. Monitor performance and make recommendations for optimizations, retiring, and extending content based on performance.

Qualifications

Excellent leadership skills and entrepreneurial, can-do attitude Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, etc. 5-7 years' experience in content marketing, including content strategy and content journey mapping experience; bachelor's degree in journalism, English, communications, or related discipline Experience managing an editorial calendar and publishing tools Highly proficient in content merchandising strategies & content KPIs Strong strategic planning, project management, and prioritization skills Marketing automation tool experience - CRM (Customer Relationship Management), CMS (Content Management System), etc. Nuanced communication skills and a good sense of humor Must have a solid portfolio of work demonstrating proficiency in copywriting for demand generation and conversion, especially headlines and subject lines Must be data-driven with proven experience in accelerating content conversion rates through the funnel and SEO/SEM, A/B testing, email optimization techniques, etc... A mixture of in-house and agency experience preferred Exceptional writing and research skills Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines Excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides a plus. Proficiency in SharePoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Preferred Qualifications
