Registered Nurse - Rockland/Orange County Area

Are you interested in working as a School Nurse with students in public, private, parochial, elementary, and high schools?We are currently seeking Registered Nurses to work in a school setting. In this position you will cover any acute care needs in the school (including the three "B's' of school nursing - bumps, bruises and bellyaches) and are community oriented, including providing health information to students, teachers, principals and parents.Job Duties & Responsibilities:Develop care plans for students with ongoing conditionsConsult with teachers, school administrators and other school staff regarding student careAdminister medication as required by doctors ordersCollaborate with school personnel and parentsProvide emergency treatment as needed to staff and studentsMonitor student immunization recordsEducate students and staff on health proceduresPerform hearing, vision and other health screeningsSkills:State of Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) licensePrevious school nursing/substitute nursing experienceBachelors Degree in NursingKnowledge of school laws and policiesBLS/CPR and First Aid certificationsKnowledge of state health regulationsCompany OverviewWe are an equal opportunity employer and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
