July 9, 2024POSITION SUMMARY:Under the general direction of the Director or designee, the Child & Family Data Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a large-scale externally funded project with their data and databases. Collaborates with investigators, consultants, project directors, and contract officers at the University.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Manages and coordinates all phases and operational tasks of the project, e.g. recruitment/screening/follow-up activities; intervention and implementation activities; and data collection and management activities.Assists in the development of annual budgets and technical reports in collaboration with the Director.Plans, conducts, and records meetings of steering committees, and other appropriate working groups.Prepares monthly and annual progress reports for submission to the external funding agency.Coordinates schedules of subcontractors and professional consultants to meet project plans.Provide direct backup for the Principal Investigator and serve as the P.I.s designate as appropriate.Collaborates with multiple statewide Family Resource Centers (FRC), Safe and Successful Youth Initiative (SSYI) and UMass IT to ensure ongoing quality improvement of the data collection process, including data forms, questionnaires, and other survey materials.Manages the CRM system to ensure data integrity and quality of data maintained within the system is accurate for reporting.Designs and delivers CRM system trainings for individual users and groups in the FRCs.Responsible for system development and ongoing maintenance to include report writing functionality, user account setup/maintenance, setting roles and permissions within the system and added functionality.Responsible for aspects of the development of data collection recommendations and results and the design and presentation of materials for legislative reports.Conducts quality control measures on data collection and entry from all clients.Identifies inaccurate or incomplete data from the client and works with appropriate stakeholders to obtain and record complete medical records for data analysis and reporting.Collaborates with other project leaders on data presentation, interpretation and writing of custom reports.Prepares presentations of data as requested by the client to better inform decision making.Prepares summary reports and ongoing project evaluations for stakeholders.Collaborates with other research sites to ensure consistency between research sites and accuracy of documentation.Performs other duties as required.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:3-5 years of related experience.Excellent organization, analytical, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated experience in data management, computer use, and data analysis.Strong communication skills, both oral and written, necessary to interact with funding agencies, other research sites, other study personnel, and University staff.Experience in handling complex and confidential information for highly restricted use.Ability to travel to off-site locations.
