We have a current opportunity for a Labor Relations Lead for a leading healthcare system in Danbury, Connecticut.
This is a regional role, leading on LR for four sites. Total headcount is circa 4,000 with a mixture of union and non-union sites.
This role will support the wider HRBP team across each hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain positive relationships with union representatives.
Interpret and enforce collective bargaining agreements.
Lead contract negotiations and participate in labor contract renewals.
Investigate and resolve employee grievances and disciplinary matters.
Advise and educate management on labor relations issues and best practices.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
Collaborate with HR to develop and implement employee engagement programs.
Monitor labor relations trends and make proactive recommendations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum of 8 years of experience in employee relations, preferably in a unionized environment.
Strong knowledge of labor laws and collective bargaining agreements.
Exceptional negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proven experience in contract negotiations.
A deep understanding of union dynamics and labor relations strategy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
