We are currently adding a Mechanical Project Manager – HVAC & Plumbing to our team. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and executing mechanical plumbing and HVAC projects, including coordination with field personnel. The Mechanical Project Manager will be tasked with completing projects on schedule, within budget, and adhering to the standards for safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Budget development, management, tracking and updating Schedule development, management, tracking and updating Review WIP logs and track labor hours Monitor project labor and communicate upcoming scheduling needs Management and coordination of subconsultants Write and administer subcontracts/exhibits Attend job walks Develop and update project schedules Timely tracking of RFIs and change orders Participation in OAC meetings Lead the project’s quality process; QA/QC for materials and installation Assist with the development of project scopes Review subcontractor bids and support with the selection of subcontractors Oversee material procurement process to facilitate project schedules Review and approve material, equipment, and rental needs Work in close collaboration with Superintendents and Foremen Coordinate with Superintendent in development of a project site logistics plan Monitor project costs and Job Cost Report; analyze and forecast quarterly Total Cost Projection reports Maintain thorough understanding of the contract and contract documents Complete timely and accurate monthly billing Lead project close-out processes Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors, subcontractors and owners to represent Axis Mechanical values Provide training and mentoring to project engineers Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience with mechanical and plumbing construction projects Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred but not required Prior experience managing project teams and subcontractors Deep understanding of mechanical/plumbing code and installation practices Expertise in complex mechanical systems and means/methods of installation Ability to communicate with a broad range of people including subcontractors, suppliers, field crews, designers, and owners
