You will collaborate with software developers, systems engineers, software quality assurance engineers, product managers, technical program managers, and firmware engineering teams. You will create extendable design and easy to maintain solutions with the long term vision in mind. This role is a combination of software and system test engineer.How You’ll Make An Impact:Translating high-level product requirements to firmware requirements and specifications.Performing systems testing against firmware requirements and specifications.Working with firmware engineers in defining firmware requirements and test cases.Working with firmware, software, and systems engineers and creating requirements for systems testing and manufacturing test software.Write test cases and test embedded firmware and manufacturing test software.Investigate, prototype, and deliver new and innovative system solutions.Participate in design reviews, API testing, and documentation.Work with new technologies that are vital to product development.Deliver investigation plans and reports, design specs.Successfully collaborate with both software and hardware product teams.What You Bring:Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field.Work Experience: 3-5+ years of experience as a robotics, control system engineer, Firmware QA Engineer, or Systems Engineer (embedded systems).Experience in one or more of these areas: sensors data collection and analysis, design of motion control or PID control.Converting high-level marketing or system requirements into firmware/software requirements and creating test cases for these requirements.Perform tests and generate test reports against firmware requirements.Create design and requirements for instrument and instrument sub-systems manufacturing test Software.Design, create requirements and tests for instrument calibration and instruments sub-systems and calibration.System-level integration experience.Experience with MATLAB and programming languages (e.g., Python).Experience in writing unit and system-level test requirements and test cases.Experience with Jira or other project management and bug tracking software.
