Job purposeThe Injection Molding Specialist is a hands-on position that sets up injection molding processes to produce high quality injection molded products. He is responsible for coordinating the molding efforts on new program launches, setting up and/or revising manufacturing processes and assisting in problem solving and continuous process improvements. This position also mentors and provides training to other injection molding personnel.Main accountabilities and tasksResponsible for the operational readiness of injection molding machines and its support processes.Responsible for setting up molding tools and execute setup parameters.Ensure that quality specifications are met and optimize ongoing processes on machines.Demonstrated ability to start-up, operate and shut down molding process related equipment.Support implementation of new injection molding processes and equipment.Support troubleshooting activities of injection molding machines and its support processes.Independently carry out minor repairs and maintenance on the molding machines and peripherals.Work with equipment and material vendors to resolve machine and equipment issues.Monitor and report issues with injection molds.Develop and implement process improvements.Implement cost optimization and reduction initiatives.Train staff for molding processes.Maintain high quality standards through on-the-floor interaction with employees to ensure quality and accuracy in each step of the production process.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to operators and other molding personnel.Keep machines and the entire production environment clean and organized.Ensure that all business activities conform to local laws and regulations and are following company policies and procedures.Ensure compliance with laws and regulations regarding environmental protection, fire prevention as well as occupational health and safety.Qualifications

Work experience : 5 years in an injection molding manufacturing environmentEducation:

Technical degree and/or combination of education and work experienceOther:Experience in processing of thermoplastics, robotics, automation and hot runner systems.Strong and diverse technical background in injection molding processing, tooling, equipment, materials, manufacturing and quality.Self-starter must be able to work with little direction and with a high level of self-motivationStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in an interruption-prone environmentProficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong TEAM mentality requiredQuality orientation and high attention to detailExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsCommitment to workplace safetyAbility to work IndependentlyMust be able to work well with subordinates, peers and superiors in all departmentsMust be able to work well with external contacts of the CompanySelf-confident, trustworthy
