Position SummaryMetropolitan State University invites applications for a 9-month faculty contract position in the Department of Human Services and Counseling beginning August 2024. The faculty member will carry a full-time teaching load of 15 hours per semester of graduate-level courses, including teaching evenings, weekends, and hybrid courses with reassigned time and
additional pay for summer teaching available .
This position requires the ability to teach classes in the Master of Science in Clinical Behavioral Health, Emphasis on Addictions Counseling program. Other duties include advising students in academic planning, curriculum development, program credentialing/evaluation, and clinical supervision.
Professional research and service to the department are encouraged.The successful candidate will have experience working with students from diverse populations, including but not limited to students of color, students with disabilities, students with diverse gender, affectional and sexual identities, students of various ages, and students from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.Required QualificationsDoctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision (Ph.D./Ed.D.), Doctorate in Rehabilitation Counseling/Counseling Education (Ph.D./Ed.D.), or other related field.
