About the Role:The Legal Counsel is an integral member of the Legal and Compliance Global Function and will support the legal needs of the Company, primarily in North America but will also support global issues as requested. The Legal Counsel will work closely with members of the Legal and Compliance Team to support the Company on Corporate, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Tax, and Finance topics.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Manages company’s insurance claims.

Reviews, edits, and negotiates terms of contracts and advises business units on legal implications of provisions.

Ensure that all contracts align with legal and regulatory requirements and protect the interests of the company.

Provides timely, accurate and cost effective legal advice to internal business clients on a myriad of topics.

Evaluates business risk/opportunity and legal risk/opportunity involved with contemplated actions and advises accordingly.

Researches and prepares corporate policies and procedures and presents training on topics to workforce.

Coordinates the preparation, approval, signature and filing of legal documents in compliance with both internal and external requirements.

Manages required annual legal filings for multiple legal entities in various countries and states; assists in updating corporate minute books.

Stays up-to-date on industry regulations and legal developments that may impact the company.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) required from an accredited law school and active membership in a state bar association.

Experience & knowledge:

Preferred 2 years minimum of relevant legal experience in related field.

Executive Presence: demonstrates the ability to convey and present information using clear, concise, and tailored communication approaches that mobilize stakeholders.

Big picture orientation and attention to detail; ability to think strategically, ability to ensure that legal decisions accurately reflect approved strategies.

Established organizational skills and the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and make decisions in an ambiguous and complex environment.

Proven track record of working in fast paced, dynamic environment.

Extremely detail oriented with strong prioritization and self-motivating skills.

Genuinely a team player who is willing to build good and sustainable relationships with colleagues.

Strong communication and negotiation skills.

English as a daily working language
