Morgan & Morgan has an immediate opportunity for a complex commercial litigator with 5+ years of substantive litigation experience in Personal Injury to join its quickly expanding plaintiff litigation practice in Brunswick, GA, handling a heavy and complex case load from pre-litigation, litigation, trial prep and trial. The ideal candidate would have experience working on complex matters in state and federal court, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team and individually on client matters in an environment where drive and client service are top priorities.Candidates should possess experience taking and defending depositions, handling all manner of discovery and motions issues, court argument, conducting hearings as well as exposure to a variety of court proceedings, including jury trial experience in state and federal courts. Applicants should also have demonstrated excellent academic credentials from top law schools, strong writing skills, and a genuine interest in taking on increased responsibility within a practice covering a broad range of litigation subject matters including: premises liability, slip and fall, security negligence, wrongful death, construction defect, dog bite / animal attack, other high-level personal injury litigation.This position will provide access to engaging and challenging cases, a well-respected and established legal office, partner mentoring and accessibility, as well as career progression opportunities. Each attorney practicing complex litigation should have the ability to effectively manage a team of case staff, including a dedicated paralegal and a dedicated legal assistant. Day-to-day handling of both pre-litigation and litigation casesDrafting and filing of litigation documents to include pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions and memoranda of lawGuide plaintiff clients through the case processInteraction with expert witnesses to include conferences, drafting of expert reports and affidavitsAttendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearancesQualifications

Law degree (J.D. / JD / Juris Doctor) from a fully accredited law schoolAn active member in good standing with the Georgia bar (AL bar licensure a plus)Minimum 5+ years of personal injury or insurance defense experienceAbility to manage high volume of pre-lit and litigation casesDemonstrable trial experience in state and federal courtExcellent client service and communication skillsSelf-starter driven by long-term career goalsSuperior writing and oral advocacy skillsBenefits
