Our Field Technical Support Engineer provides support to our internal/external customers, sales team, contractors, and end users. The Field Technical Support Engineer provides efficient, effective, and cordial technical support. This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.How you will do it:Prepare advanced Bill of Materials for contractors, both domestic and internationalCreate and maintain advanced application-specific design and installation drawings and instructions.Complete system flow calculationsUsing CAD software, such as AutoCAD and REVIT, to prepare technical drawings.Maintaining a library of standard drawing templates in Multiple CAD softwareConsult with engineers, architects, and other professional and technical personnel.Provide answers to technical questions from distribution, field sales, and other customers.Gains customer acceptance by explaining system operational improvements.Travel to customer sites to assist in on-site hazard analysis when required.Serve on technical committees and project teams as required.Assist Quality Assurance and Risk Management teams with warranty claims.Monitor, Influence, and provide guidance on applicable industry codes and standards.Review literature to ensure technical correctness before release to the field.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.Review manufacturing drawings for accuracy.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.Assist with training of staff in Technical Service and the Training departments.What we look for:Bachelor’s degree in technology or Engineering preferred or similar background through education or related experience.Minimum of 6 years of technical support experienceProficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT platforms
