SimIS is currently recruiting for the below listed position.Job Title: Cybersecurity Engineer IIJob Location: NSWC Dam NeckSecurity Clearance: Eligible for Top Secret ClearanceLocation: Virginia Beach, VAJob Description:SimIS Inc seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer to provide Integrated Training Systems (ITS) Systems Engineering (SE) support for maritime Training Systems being developed by the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division, Dam Neck Activity, Virginia Beach, VA. The successful candidate will develop Cyber Defense-in-Depth Architecture for a major shipboard combat and/or training system, to include diagrams for the system, the sub-network, and platform network into which the system will be integrated. The period of performance begins in Late August 2024 and includes 1 base year and 4 option years for a total of 5 contract years.Experience Required:At least three (3) years of full-time professional experience in network computer equipment, system, and security.
Experience working with Department of Defense (DOD) Information Assurance (IA) mandatory policies standards, procedures, and policies.
Develop and update Cyber Risk Mitigation Plans. Develop and maintain Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages in accordance with NAVSEA business rules.
Develop Cyber Defense-in-Depth Architecture Diagrams for the system, the sub-network, and platform network into which the system will be integrated.
Develop, maintain, and perform Cyber test procedures and document results.
Document cross-domain interfaces. Review Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) vulnerability scans.
Review, analyze and evaluate Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and/or Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) content for each applicable system component.
Review, analyze, and evaluate user needs to create systems solutions that support overall business strategies.
Document system requirements, define scope and objectives, and create system specifications that drive system development and implementation.
Functions as a liaison between Cyber Security professionals and users and have both business and technical expertise.
Special Skills/Knowledge/Training Required:Bachelor's Degree in a technical field.
Cyber-Information Technology (IT)/Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) Basic Level knowledge and skills, at a minimum, with a certification in IA standards and policies.
