Develop detailed project plans that outline resource requirements and budget constraintsHost regular project meetings with cross-functional teams and managers to track progressProvide constructive feedback, guidance, and encouragement to team membersManage project timelines and ensure timely delivery

Stakeholder Communication:

Communicate project status and updates to clients and stakeholdersCollaborate with vendors and suppliers as necessary

Software Development Focus:

Leverage your software development experience to align project goals with technical requirementsEstablish and optimize the software development life cycle (SDLC) processesWork closely with development teams to ensure their needs are met within project constraints

Product Planning:

Participate and advise on specification prioritizationRoadmap Prioritization: Participate in prioritizing project roadmaps alongside product managementQuality Control: Ensure quality standards align with product expectations

Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting:

Regularly communicate project updates, milestones, and challenges to senior leadershipProvide concise and relevant information to executives, ensuring they are well-informed about project progressTailor communication style to suit different audiences

Risk Mitigation and Decision-Making:

Collaborate with senior leaders to identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategiesSeek their input on critical decisions related to project scope, budget, and resource allocation

Strategic Alignment:

Align project goals with the organization’s strategic visionEngage in discussions with senior leadership to ensure projects contribute to overall business objectives

Change Management:

Communicate changes in project direction, scope adjustments, or resource reallocationsObtain buy-in from senior leaders for any significant changes

Conflict Resolution:

Address conflicts or disagreements within the project team and escalate as neededSeek guidance from senior leadership when resolving complex issues

Metrics and Performance Tracking:

Define and track key performance metrics related to software development projectsRegularly assess project progress, identify bottlenecks, and propose improvements

Harmonization Across Business Units:

Standardize processes across different business units to enhance efficiency and consistencyFacilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing among teams

Other duties as assignedQualifications:8+ years of project manager or related experienceResponsible for defining and managing project scope, timelines, profitability, and effective delivery of products or servicesBackground in software engineering, computer science, or other technical fields desiredProject Management Professional (PMP) is a plusFamiliarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and project management toolsAdvanced computer skills including a strong working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeExceptional leadership abilities to guide cross-functional teams effectivelyExperience working across the entire project or product lifecycleExpert with planning, execution, monitoring, and closure phasesStrong skills in prioritization, scheduling, and documentationExcellent client-facing, written, and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking abilitiesHigh energy and passionate personalityMaintain a positive attitude while interacting with colleagues and clientsSelf-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervisionOccasional travel for meetings and trainingsEducation:Bachelor’s degree in project management, business management, or related field preferredFind out more about how amazing it is to work at Simulations Plus by visiting www.simulations-plus.com/career-center and apply today!
