Foreign Legal Counsel

Houston office of our client seeks a foreign legal counsel with 1-year of experience. The candidate will advise clients in foreign legal matters pursuant the civil law legal system; counsel clients regarding cross border transactions pursuant the civil law legal system; advise clients regarding suitability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits in civil law jurisdictions; analyze statutes, decision and regulations of judicial, and quasi-judicial bodies to determine its applicability to multinational transactions; interpret and analyze the applicability of foreign law rulings and regulations to U.S. Corporations; prepare memoranda summarizing opinions and recommendations regarding applicability of U.S. laws and regulations to proposed foreign transactions; analyze the probable outcomes of legal proceedings in civil law jurisdictions using knowledge of legal precedents; produce comparative analyses between the civil and common law systems in preparation for presentation of cases; produce legal opinions on interpretation of civil law rulings, and regulations to support U.S. attorneys on foreign civil law matters; research laws, court decisions, statutes, legal articles, and other regulations coming from specific civil law countries; keep abreast of changes in the law, investigate facts, and search pertinent sources of law to determine probable causes of action in civil law countries.Company infoBCG Attorney Search10777 Westheimer, Suite 1100HoustonTexasUnited States 77042Phone :
