My client is a top notch Architectural and Engineering firm that is actively seeking a Historical Preservation Architect.The ideal candidate has the following credentials and abilities:Between 10-20 years of related experience.Accredited Professional Degree in Architecture (Bachelor's or Masters of Architecture).Professional license in the U.S. or working toward licensure.Interest in Architectural History and Historic Preservation.Familiarity with the Secretary of the Interior Standards for Restoration and Rehabilitation and project reviews through State Historic Preservation Offices.Experience with prior project and team management.Demonstrated ability to create a set of construction documents.Knowledge of contemporary and historic materials, details, and construction.Candidate must possess both excellent design and technical skills; and be motivated to apply those skills to the development of superior architecture.Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.Passion for historic buildings and design excellence, collaborative spirit, willingness to learn/mentor, and a sense of humor.Experience in creating interesting and engaging graphics for building design presentations is vital.Candidates should be self-motivated, detail-oriented and thorough in their desire to provide exceptional client service.Ability to focus on multiple projects at once and work in a fast-paced environment.
