Plunkett Cooney, one of the largest and most accomplished law firms in the Midwest, is seeking a business litigation attorney to join our Chicago, IL office.The preferred candidate will be an experienced and versatile attorney, with a client-centric philosophy, and who has demonstrated an ability to compete and prosper in complex environments.Qualifications include:A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in state and federal civil and business litigationExperience in various practice areas such as insurance litigation, banking and foreclosureElectronically Stored Information (ESI) discovery experienceExcellent research, legal brief writing and communication skillsExperience writing and arguing motions in courtWorking knowledge of Illinois Court Rules and Rules of EvidenceWorking knowledge of Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of EvidenceComfort level with learning new computer softwarePortable book of business with the potential to grow is highly preferredA J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school, andMember in good standing and active in the Illinois BarWe are seeking a well-rounded, dynamic, highly motivated lawyer, who has demonstrated an ability to compete and prosper in highly competitive and complex environments with significant client contact.
