Swift deployment of charging infrastructure is critical to electrifying and decarbonizing transportation. Contractors and developers play a central role in this, and we help them work faster, deploy more chargers, grow sales & expand margins. Our vision is to bring AI and automation into every aspect of electrical work and enable the builders of a cleaner, electrified future.Monterra is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join us “on the ground floor” and play a foundational role in our product journey. If 1) accelerating the EV transition with software and AI, 2) supporting the builders of a cleaner, electrified future, and 3) building software with a real world impact sound exciting to you, you should keep reading!Who you areRequirements5+ years of experience as a full stack engineer building user-facing productsProficiency in Typescript and Next.js or similar frameworkSelf-driven & comfortable with ambiguity - able to plan, sequence, and execute projectsStrong at technical trade-off decisionsStrong communication skillsExperience at a startupBay Area-based & excited about working in-person 2-3 days per week in SFNice-to-havesElectrical engineering domain knowledgeFamiliarity with electrical trades or construction industriesExperience with Mapbox, GIS, or other geospatial toolsExperience and/or interest in building AI applicationsYou might be interested in:EVs / electrifying transportation / constructionIntersection of software & AI and the “real-world”Mapping / geospatial softwareWhat you'll work onYou’ll build features that user automation and AI to make EVC contractors & developers lives easier → design, plan, sell, and work faster.
