A law firm in Chicago is seeking a Junior Private Equity Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will represent middle-market private equity funds and their portfolio companies, focusing on mergers and acquisitions. This role requires strong transactional law experience, analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.Duties:Communicate effectively with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties verbally and in writing.Produce high-quality deliverables, respond promptly to correspondence, and handle phone calls efficiently.Meet deadlines and expectations while adhering to firm policies and practices.Participate in physical and sedentary activities such as extended computer work, digital conference calls, and meetings.Represent private equity funds and portfolio companies in mergers and acquisitions.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Minimum 3 years of transactional law experience, preferably in private equity or related fields.Prior experience with an AmLaw 100 law firm or SEC.Admitted to practice law in Illinois.Skills:Strong analytical and writing skills.Attention to detail and sound business judgment.Excellent organizational skills.Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.Effective oral and written communication skills.Research and problem-solving abilities.Conceptual thinking and ability to influence others.Persuasive communication and management skills.Certifications:Admission to the Illinois State Bar.Job Type:
