We are currently seeking a Cleared Systems Test Engineer with experience in both software and hardware testing to join our team in a government contracting defense manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Software or Hardware test engineering, with expertise in software scripting/programming, hardware/systems testing, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.Work Authorization/Clearance Level:
Ability to obtain a DoD US Govt. Secret Security Clearance. Candidates must provide proof of US Citizenship or US Govt Permanent Resident. Active Secret Clearance holders are preferred.Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and execute test plans and procedures for software and hardware testing in accordance with project requirements and specifications.Perform functional, performance, and integration testing of software applications and hardware components to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.Utilize software scripting and programming languages such as LabVIEW, MATLAB, and others to automate test processes and enhance efficiency.Develop scripts or code to control Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) equipment used in testing procedures.Conduct signal processing tasks as needed, leveraging relevant experience to contribute to project objectives.Work with digital and analog acquisition hardware, including National Instruments products, power supplies, function generators, and sensors such as current meters and accelerometers.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and project managers, to identify testing requirements and resolve technical issues.Document test results, identify defects, and provide recommendations for improvements to enhance product quality and performance.Adhere to government security protocols and regulations, ensuring that all testing activities comply with relevant standards and guidelines.Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering) preferred.Minimum of 2+ years of experience working as a Test Engineer or in hardware/systems testing.Experience with software scripting/programming languages such as LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, etc.Proficiency in developing scripts or code to control COTS equipment used in testing.Familiarity with signal processing techniques and tools is a plus.Knowledge of digital and analog acquisition hardware, including National Instruments products.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.Ability to obtain a DoD US Govt. Secret Security Clearance.Note:
