Responsibilities:Serve in the best interest of your clients during real estate closings, in real estate disputes, and real estate litigationCoordinate detailed due diligence, and inspect title examination, closing binder, and legal documents for legal risk, completion, and accuracyCooperate with city boards and agencies to obtain permits and avoid zoning legal issuesNegotiate real estate transaction terms and conditions, and facilitate the transfer of title between borrowers, real estate agents, and title companyOversee support staff such as paralegals and clerksRepresent clients in court or before government agenciesAdvise clients on business and legal transactionsNegotiate settlements for legal disputesComply with all legal standards and regulationsPerform administrative and management functions related to the practice of lawHandle residential and commercial landlord-tenant-related disputes with the potential to handle corresponding litigation disputesQualifications:Outstanding research, negotiation, networking, and communication skills are necessaryBe a member of your local bar association and hold a current law license in the state3 years of experience as a residential or commercial real estate attorney, as a transactional attorney, or as corporate counsel for a real estate development firmA Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school is requiredRelevant knowledge of property management, land use, title insurance, business law, and residential and commercial real estate law, including litigation
