This position requires an ability to demonstrate good judgment invarious situations.The Commercial Lines AccountManager role isa reflection of the agency whether in relating with a client or in everyday activities within the community. A positive outlook and growth-minded spirit are vital.Pay:$30000 - $60000 / yearBENEFITSCompetitive salary commensurate with experienceOpportunity for bonus and incentives based on performanceOpportunity for growth within the companyMajor Medical InsuranceShort-term and Long-term Disability InsuranceVoluntary Life, Vision, and Dental InsurancePTOPaid HolidaysRetirement Savings AccountCompany eventsRESPONSIBILITIES*Day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to*Servicing of assigned accounts, based on agency best practicesMaintaining a high level of client service and satisfactionMarketing & placement of assigned new business submissions and renewal accountsAchieving department account new business sales and retention goals throughproactive account rounding, up-selling, and by providing extraordinary client serviceSkilled communication, sound decision-making, and self-reliance are necessary attributes of day-to-day activities.*Other general duties include but are not limited to*Maintaining client files and ensuring proper documentation through processing policies, endorsement changes, invoices, binders, certificates of insurance, documentation, activities, etc.,within established timelinesMaintain control of renewal expiration lists, binders, and any aged receivablesPerform annual review and risk exposure analysis of renewal policies for proper coverageRespond to client inquiries, incoming e-mail, mail, and company requests.Prepare billing following credit and collection policiesReview all items to be processed, to ensure items were received as orderedMaintain current knowledge of underwriting requirements of carriersParticipate in continuing education courses for insurance and sales skillsKeep current with industry trends by reading appropriate journals and company bulletinsParticipate in any special projects at management's requestQUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATIONTwo-year associate college degree required; four-year college degree preferredExperience and expertise with technology and skilled in Adobe Pro, Word, Excel, Outlook, and operation of phone systemsExcellent time management and organizational capabilitiesAdvanced verbal and written communication skillsDesire to acquire and maintain a thorough knowledge of theinsurance industry products and practicesA high degree of self-motivation and self-directionKnowledge of brokerage operations including claimshandling, procedures, rating, agency management system, and applicable insurance lawsFamiliarity with risk assessment and risk management techniquesWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
