The Project Engineer assists the Project Manager and Superintendent in organizing, controlling, monitoring and recording activities which are part of the construction management of a commercial construction project.Qualifications and Required Skills
A four-year engineering or construction management degree is requiredOSHA 10 and 30 certifications are desiredMust have experience with Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with Bluebeam and Procore are desiredExperience in Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) is desiredMust pass a pre-employment drug screen and physicalEssential Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
Layout building components, grid lines, and bounds onsite using a total stationOversee coordination and maintenance of project documentationConduct field verifications of all building scopesConduct quality control of elevation and slope using a builders levelConduct quality control on multiple aspects of concrete, steel, framing, and MEPAssist the safety personnel with implementation and enforcement of safety standardsAdditional Duties and Responsibilities
May assist creating material takeoffs and procuring materials for the projectUnderstand the project overall schedule and its relationship to PE tasksMay assist with coordination of subcontractors and company employeesAssist the Superintendent and Project Manager in any other assigned tasksMay manage submittals, change orders, and Requests for InformationWorking Conditions and Physical Demands
This position is moderately strenuous. Applicants must be able to lift and carry objects. Applicants must be able to work in all weather conditions. Activities may include climbing ladders or scaffolding, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling and standing for periods of time. Applicants must be able to see clearly and recognize small details. Applicants must be able to sit in an office environment and use a tablet, keyboard and mouse. Applicants must be able to effectively communicate by phone and text messaging.
