Senior Data Engineer

Applicants proceeding to the next stage will receive further information about the employer and recruiting process.Position Overview: As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure and pipelines to support the collection, storage, processing, and analysis of large volumes of structured and unstructured data. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, design scalable solutions, and implement best practices for data ingestion, transformation, and storage.Key Responsibilities:Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable and efficient data pipelines and ETL processes to collect, process, and transform data from multiple sources.Architect and optimize data storage solutions, including data warehouses, data lakes, and NoSQL databases.Develop and maintain data infrastructure and automation tools using cloud platforms.Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement solutions.Lead performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization of data pipelines.Mentor junior data engineers, provide technical guidance and support, and promote best practices for data engineering and software development.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a proven track record of designing and implementing scalable data solutions.Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or SQL.Expertise in building and optimizing data pipelines and ETL processes.Experience with cloud platforms, like AWS or GCP.Location:Remote - US or Canada.Benefits:Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and stock options.Remote workplace and work from home allowance.
