Seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) that will collaborate with DevOps engineers, developers, and cloud engineers to plan, design, and develop test automation in support of DevOps and Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery (CICD) pipelines. The SDET will develop test automation for integration, regression, and functional testing for systems to ensure compliance with system requirements and Navy Federal business practices and policies. Assists in the analysis of functional and technical requirements. Develop and maintain working knowledge of evolving SDET engineering technologies, concepts and trends. The Test Automation Engineer may be responsible for testing web application User Interfaces, APIs, and participating in the development of test automation frameworks.The candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a variety of audiences including management, DevOps engineers and product teams.Responsibilities

Developing automated test scripts and frameworks to validate software functionality across different environments and configurationsCreating and maintaining automated tests using programming languages and testing frameworks likeSelenium WebDriver, TestNG, Junit, Cucumber, Gherkin, and XPath depending on the technology stackCollaborating with developers and quality assurance engineers to define test strategies, test plans, and test cases that align with business requirementsInvestigating and troubleshooting issues, identifying bugs, and working with cross functional teams to prioritize and resolve themIntegrating automated tests into CICD pipelines to ensure that new code changes are continuously tested for quality and performanceBuilding and maintaining internal testing tools, frameworks, and infrastructure to support efficient test automation and continuous improvementAnalyzing test results and providing meaningful reports to stakeholders, highlighting issues and trends, and suggesting improvementsParticipating in code reviews, providing feedback on testability, and promoting best practices for quality assurance within the development teamParticipating in Sprint planning standups, retrospectives, and other agile ceremonies to ensure quality goals are metEscalate any risks in a timely mannerPresent clear, organized and concise information to all audiences through a variety of media to enable effective decisionsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications

Experience implementing cloud native test automation tools and defining frameworks and methods that increase efficiency and reduce Data Center footprintDesign and implement robust and scalable test automation solutions within an Azure DevOps and CI/CD environment to improve the quality of functional, regression, and system testsWorks collaboratively with cross-functional teams in agile settings to understand business requirements to develop test automation that supports DevOps and CI/CDStrong experience with agile methodologiesExperience in streamlining continuous test processes that improve product deliveryStrong development skills in core Java concepts and Selenium Test Automation Framework developmentExperience with Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Junit, Cucumber, Gherkin, and XPathExperience developing scripts to perform comprehensive automated testing on multiple platforms including web based, client server, and mainframeExperience developing test automation for SOA Services and SOAP/REST APIsExperience with Azure Repos, GitHub, Bitbucket or other software repositoriesExperience with CI/CD pipeline tools such as Azure Pipelines, Jenkins, or BambooStrong understanding of dependency management and build tools such as MavenProficient in keyword, data driven, and behavior-driven test automation developmentExperience with test management tools such as Azure Test Plans, Jira, Micro Focus ALM/OctaneDevelop and maintain reusable components, functions, methods, and libraries to reduce maintenance and increase efficiency and scalabilityAbility to adhere to Software Engineering disciplinesAdvanced verbal and written communication skillsAdvanced skill building effective relationships through rapport, trust, diplomacy, and tactAdvanced organizational, planning and time management skillsSkill in exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisionsAdvanced analytical/quantitative, reconciliation, deductive reasoning, and problem-solving skillsSkill in mentoring and training less experienced staffA Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, a related field, or equivalent experienceDesired QualificationsKnowledge of multiple test automation tools and test automation patternsExperience with evaluating new software testing tools and performing proof of conceptsExperience with one or more scripting languages to support CI/CD pipeline jobsExperience writing test automation code with IntelliJ and/or Visual Studio CodeExperience with databases (Microsoft SQL Server is preferred)ASTQB CTFL or CTAL-TAE CertificationWorking knowledge of banking/financial industry standards and practicesHours:
