The salary range for this position is $82,000.00-$109,000.00. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.What You’ll DoIn the role of a Financial Analyst Specialist, you will help design, build, implement, and maintain aviation specific analytics and financial reporting solutions and forecasting for DEN. We are looking for a collaborator with knowledge and experience with financial and statistical analysis and reporting for large government agencies. This position will require an innovative initiative-taker with a passion for both finance and aviation, who is looking to build upon their existing skill set and grow professionally within the organization.Specifically, as the Financial Analyst Specialist you will:Function as subject matter expert on aviation statistics and reportingPlay a key role in enhancing the reporting function for DEN, including managing enterprise dashboards as well as designing, developing, and implementing new dashboard modulesStreamline processes and deliverables by leveraging technical system knowledgePrepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting financial results and other key performance indicatorsAnalyze and interpret financial and operating results, including investigating variances and making recommendations on corrective actionsAssist with preparation of budgets, forecasts, and various rates and charges deliverablesProvide broad-based, strategic perspective and recommendations to management based on creation and analysis of financial models and reportsAssist with special projects and perform ad-hoc requests as neededDevelop continuous process improvement initiatives to achieve operational excellenceEnhance and provide excellent customer serviceDirect the Passenger Facility Charge application processFunction as a team leader for ad-hoc projectsDevelop and enhance financial models including the ability to do scenario analysisEffectively collaborate across the organization and be able to build strong rapport with key contributorsAbility to make recommendations based on sound financial analysisKnowledge of Federal Aviation Administration reporting such as Forms 126, 127, and the Airport Council International benchmarking surveyAbility to interpret financials for concession prospects and write succinct financial memosAbout YouWhat You’ll BringOur ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics:Experience with Excel, Workday, and/or ERP systemsPrevious experience working with financial statements and supporting documentsProfessional reporting and financial and statistical variance analysis experienceAbility to work autonomously and flexibly to support the teamPrevious experience with the Passenger Facility Application processAn effective leaderExcellent time management skillsAbility to multi-task complex projectsExcellent communication and customer service skillsRequired Minimum QualificationsEducation requirement: bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of full performance, professional level experience researching, analyzing, calculating, and compiling financial data, debt or portfolio administration, or financial statistical analysis.Education/Experience Equivalency: No substitution of experience for education is permitted. (Additional appropriate education may be substituted for experience requirements).License/Certifications: NoneFBI Background Check: FBI criminal background check is required for all positions at Denver International Airport (DEN). Employees are also required to report any felony convictions and/or moving violations to maintain this clearance and be eligible for continued employment. By position, a pre-employment physical/drug test may be required.Snow / Emergency Duties: Denver International Airport is a 24/7/365 team operation.
