This is a full-time, on-site position located at our Long Beach, CA headquarters.

Your Mission on the Team:

Own the development of assembly, integration, and test (AI&T) strategies for innovative new satellite technologies at scale.

Execute supplier due diligence and contribute to the supplier identification and down-selection process.

Work with external vendors to improve product quality, reliability, lead time, and cost.

Define facilities requirements and work with the facilities team to stand up integration infrastructure.

Inform satellite design for manufacturability.

Implement creative AI&T cost reduction strategies.

Maintain integration schedule.

Build and lead a team to rapidly bring innovative products to market.

Travel up to 30% of the time.

Qualifications:

5+ years of professional satellite assembly, integration, and test (AI&T) experience.

Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Strong understanding of common spacecraft failure modes and their root causes.

Strong understanding of statistical screening methods and risk assessment.

Breadth of experience in manufacturing and integration cost reduction and schedule management.

Penchant for leadership and inspiring teams to achieve at a high level.

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Ability to rapidly expand application specific knowledge sets and skills where necessary.

Passion for understanding complexity and finding answers to challenging questions.

Ideal Qualifications:

Master's degree in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Previous experience with spacecraft and/or space mission design.

Previous experience with automated spacecraft acceptance test procedures.

Salary Range: $150,000.00 to $200,000.00

The base salary offered to a successful candidate will be determined on a case-by-case basis and influenced by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, and scope of the position.

ITAR Requirements

SpinLaunch is required by the U.S. Government to comply with various space technology export regulations including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident (“green card holder”) or a protected individual as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15) or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
