Deputy SurgeonJob Description:Cape Fox Facilities Services (CFFS) is seeking an experienced Deputy Surgeon Office Administrator to provide advanced support services to the US Army in developing and implementing a tailored Health & Wellness Program that enhances the psychological readiness of the US Army personnel. This is a highly critical and rewarding position. An active Secret security clearance is preferred (or we will sponsor you to obtain clearance) for consideration, and candidate must be eligible for upgrade to Top Secret with SCI.Major Duties:Serves as Deputy Surgeon Office Administrator, providing staff oversight and subject-matter expertise for medical planning, operations, and programming.Provides senior management level supervision, guidance, and support.Represents the Command Surgeon in all 2-star battle rhythm events and Boards, Bureaus, Centers, Cells and Working groups (B2C2WG).Performs Deputy Surgeon role by supervising, managing, tasking, synchronizing, and providing technical direction on a variety of work including planning, operations, force health protection activities, weekly update messages, Task Management Tool (TMT) taskers, Orders Management Tool (OMT) orders reviews, and Requests for Information (RFIs).Synchronizes and coordinates requirements between the Office the Command Surgeon and the Direct Reporting Units, and regional supporting Health Services Support (HSS) commands and agencies.Provides critical task continuity for the Command Surgeon throughout all phases of ongoing operations, activities, and investments (OAI), and to bridge military staff turnover. The position is needed to provide the stability and experience required for continued mission essential function of the INSCOM Command Surgeon’s Office, and critical subject matter expertise.Provides senior management level supervision, guidance, and support to military personnel and civilian. Consults with Department of the Army (HQDA), Army Medical Command (MEDCOM), Office of the Surgeon General (OTSG), Defense Health Agency (DHA) and other medical commands.Attends DA-level medical governance forums for the purpose of establishing theater requirements and ensuring availability of a Ready Medical Force and a Medically Ready Force.Establishes positive working relationships with DHA Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) and key joint, allied, and partner nation agency representatives.Conducts meetings and plans activities at senior levels within and external to the command and mediates, resolves, and assists with competing or conflicting priorities for resources, scheduling or strategic direction within the command or between other joint or service commands, HQDA organizations or other military organizations.Performs expert-level senior medical strategic planning by reviewing and providing input into the Component Theater Campaign Support Order (TCSO), INSCOM Planning Guidance, INSCOM Program Objective Memorandum (POM) submission, and other Operations Plans/Concept of Operations Plans (OPLANs/CONPLANs).Develops, coordinates, and integrates health service support policy with subordinate commands to include coordination with rotational and exercise forces, and in coordination with the TRICARE Area Office and/or TRICARE Management Activity.Identifies the Department of Defense (DoD) and Legislative gaps in medical policy and law and drives appropriate change from the Army Service Component Command (ASCC) perspective. Facilitates, research documents, and staff’s products enabling the selection of key medical health service support and stability operations strategic priorities.Develops and provides action plans, milestone documents, strategic guidance, and other materials for medical, strategic, business, and organizational planning within the command and its components to achieve strategic objectives.Travel Requirements:
