Job Summary

What Are Your Responsibilities?
This position is responsible for supporting products and projects that use AI and machine learning to solve business problems at scale. This includes ensuring data quality, creating new data pipelines, optimization and management of existing data pipelines, ingestion, and curation of data sources for analytical purposes and transformation of structured and unstructured data into formats suitable for machine learning and advanced analytics. As a Data Science Engineer, you will also work on the deployment of products and ensuring the products are production ready and run smoothly. You will work closely with the team on implementation of data products where traditional application development support is needed. What Do You Need To Be Successful?
Proficiency with general-purpose programming, particularly using Python and shell scriptingThe ability to write well-architected, clean, and maintainable software to solve business problemsFamiliarity with deploying cloud-based solutionsLearning and growth mindset.Customer-focused attitude.Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Proficiency in at least two of the following four areas: 1) data analysis and relational-style query languages; 2) data pipelining and ETL; 3) working with semi structured and unstructured data; 4) understanding of healthcare from the payer’s point of view.
What Are the Requirements You Must Meet?
Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, engineering or a related field with comparable programming experiencePreferred: Previous healthcare, data science, or technology-related internship experiencePreferred: Experience with Python, SQL, Docker, and GitGraduation date between December 2023 – June 2024A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
