As an established market leader, VCF-powered technology will continue to deliver greater choice and flexibility through versatile, integrated infrastructure that spans on-premises, service providers, and hyper-scalers.The VCF Operations and Management Engineering team is seeking a passionate technical architect/lead with expertise in IAM (Identity and Access Management), full stack development, and containerization platforms to play an active role in the design and implementation of the next-generation VCF product portfolio to evolve operations and management for a hybrid-cloud operating model through product consolidation, integration, transformation, innovation, and productivity breakthroughs by bringing different infrastructure and workload functions together. Operations Management enables seamless operations and management of VCF-based infrastructure and applications for different Jobs-to-be-done 'JTBD' across different operations management functions.What you will do:You will be involved in all stages of development, from solution design to development to deployment, testing, and maintenance. You will collaborate with architects and application teams while guiding and mentoring junior engineers. This is a master-level position, and you'll need to be an expert in the IAM space.Key Responsibilities:Demonstrate strong leadership skills in security and engineering by leading from the front, influencing cross-team projects and being a multiplier to improve the overall engineering culture.Work with product managers, software architects, UX, and site reliability engineers from across the organisation to drive identity management roadmaps, design new features, and select solutions/architecture, and technology enhancements.Set team strategy and direction, represent the team to senior management, and use your experience to support and enhance your team through mentoring and knowledge sharing.Lead task force efforts between appropriate teams to proactively resolve all technology issues with applications (infrastructure, performance, integration, etc.)Qualification and abilities:B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related fields.16+ years of hands-on experience with Java-based development projects using RESTful APIs, scalability, and high availability principles.Played a leading role in designing and developing large-scale enterprise products that support complex end-user workflows.Strong understanding of IAM concepts such as authentication, authorization, role-based access control (RBAC), multi-factor authentication, identity federation, application security, privacy and consent management, and regulatory compliance.Deep knowledge of Active Directory, Kerberos, LDAP, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, SCIM, restful API design, tokens, session management and profiles.Proven success with designing IAM frameworks using customer IAM platforms such as Okta, Ping Identity, and Microsoft Entra ID.Excellent interpersonal and influential skills to enable the implementation and enforcement of the IAM program.Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and security trends related to IAM.
