Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join and lead as a Technician Supervisor full time or
Experienced Surgical Technician .Our 4 -doctor, full-service hospital in beautiful Wakefield, MA has been serving the community for over 40 years. The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to:Physical examinations and patient assessmentAnesthesia monitoringSurgical preparation andassistingDentistryRadiologyLaboratory workVenipunctureCatheter placementPharmacyPatient recoveryCompassionate care of our hospitalized animalsIn the supervisor role, yourresponsibilities will includebut notbelimited to:Directingwork flowon the floorAssists in the educational development of technicians and their skillsHelp with the interview process for potential new hiresTechnician SchedulingAssists in staffing and coverage where neededAssists in basic protocol and standard procedure trainingProvide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experienceMentoring technicians within the departmentWorking with department doctors to develop protocols to improve the serviceEnsure that VCA polices, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.The salary range for this position is $24 - $28 / hourThis position is a working supervisory position, which is responsible for the leadership and the supervision of our technical staff.Ready to grow with a collaborative and supportive team?
