ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NURSING (ADON)Benefits:Health InsuranceDental InsuranceVision Insurance401K PlanShifts Available:Monday – Friday 7:00am – 4:30pmRotating On-callResponsibilities:Demonstrate understanding and utilize nursing policies and procedures in the administration of resident careDirect day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations/guidelines that govern the long-term care facilityEnsure that all nursing personnel assigned to you comply with the written policy and procedures established by the facilityEnsure that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphereMeet with assigned staff to plan the shifts, services, programs and activities.Follow facility's guidelines for reporting during scheduled shiftSupport the facility's quality assurance programAssist in facility surveys (inspections) conducted by authorized government agenciesAdmit, transfer, and discharge residents consistent with facility policyAttend all required training programsPerform nursing duties pertaining to pre-admission/admission/discharge of residentsMake rounds throughout the shift in order to continuously monitor and assess resident’s conditions including but not limited to residents noted on 24 Hour ReportMake rounds with physicians as necessaryConsult with physicians regarding resident's care and perform and/or coordinate resident treatments as ordered the physicianMake periodic checks to ensure that prescribed treatments are properly administered and to evaluate the resident's physical and emotional statusEncourage/assist in coordinating resident participation in social/activity programsNotify resident's physician, family and DON/designee when the resident is involved in an accident or incident or when there is a change in a resident's conditionParticipate in restorative and rehabilitative programsMaintain the nursing station, medication rooms, medication carts and general treatment areas in a clean, orderly and safe mannerAdminister standard nursing services including but not limited to catheterizations, tube feedings, suction, applying and changing dressings/bandages, packs, colostomy/drainage bags and other services as requiredEnsure that resident care is provided in accordance with the resident's plan of care and general wishesEnsure that all call lights are answered timelyQualifications:Current Nebraska state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)Current CPR certificationAbility to interact professionally with patients, families, and fellow team membersAbility to provide good customer serviceBasic computer skillsAbout our Health Center:Emerald Nursing and Rehab Lancaster is in Lincoln, NE.
