The Department has around 150 undergraduate majors and 75 graduate students, with currently 30 tenure-track faculty along with 13 non-tenure track faculty.% Research% Research

Applications will be reviewed when a vacancy occurs.

Instructors must hold a M.S. degree in Mathematics or closely related area and are typically hired on a semester bases or for 9-months or more, and can be either part-time or full-time depending on departmental instructor need, student enrollment numbers, and funding.

Assistant Professor appointments must hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics or related area and are typically hired for 9-month period or more, and can be either part-time or full-time, depending on departmental instructor need, student enrollment numbers, and funding.

Successful candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States by the proposed start date; Mathematics will not provide visa sponsorship for these positions.Preferred Job QualificationsExperience teaching a wide variety of lower division (100-300 level) undergraduate mathematics courses which may include pre-calculus courses and any of the calculus series courses.Experience preparing and presenting lessons as outlined in the course syllabus, as well as manage homework assignments, exams, and communications.Experience with pedagogy in teaching, using labs, flipped classrooms, smart technologies, and inquiry based learning methods.Experience teaching large sections (greater than 75 students) in a variety of calculus classes and above.Experience coordinating large mathematics service courses in the calculus series and above.Special Instructions to Applicants
