Role Overview:

As Director of Sales at Amper, you will play a pivotal role in charting the course of our revenue growth. You will execute our revenue goals by coaching our sales team, refining the sales process, and closely monitoring indicators. This role will involve rolling up your sleeves and being part of customer calls, assisting in deals, and empowering our team to have streamlined processes. You will be part of the leadership team and closely collaborating with the CEO and other leaders.

Responsibilities:

Pipeline Conversion: Ensure we meet our leading and lagging indicators by spearheading pipeline reviews, helping close deals, and managing key funnel metrics.Coaching: Support a team of 5-10 Account Executives with clear and tactical feedback on progressing and winning deals. Drive accountability on the process and metrics with performance management of the team. You’ll run sales meetings and travel to key accounts.Recruiting: Hire Account Executives and provide onboarding and ongoing coaching to ensure their growth and success.Reporting: Regularly share insights across forecasts, bottlenecks, and other information to ensure the team supports the process and achieves results.Enablement: Work cross-functionally to strategically solve problems and project manage, and create content for ongoing training and development.Culture: Champion, role model, and embed Amper’s core values (Obsess over the customer, Embrace reality, Insist on the highest standards, Build for the long term, Bias for action, Be lean).

An ideal candidate has:

6+ years of sales experience with $20-100k ARR deal sizes, with proven performance owning a complex selling motion from prospecting through close2+ years of experience managing sales teamsExperience recruiting and successfully onboarding 2 or more AEsExcellent communication skills providing feedback, building presentations, writing memosComfortable with building presentations and memosInterest or experience in the manufacturing industryPrior startup experience at the Series A or B stage

Interview Process — Your Journey to Joining Amper:

Your path to Amper starts with a 30-minute introductory call, followed by a 1-2 hour discussion about your career and an overview of life at Amper. Next, you'll tackle a take-home assignment. The final step is a 2-3 hour interview to present the take-home assignment and mutually get to know key leaders at Amper. We also offer finalists calls with Amper investors and customers, so you can get a deeper sense of the business. This process ensures a good fit for both of us, paving the way for a successful partnership.
