Job Summary:
Altair's Inspire software environment ( https://www.altair.com/inspire/ ) is the industry's most powerful, versatile and easy-to-use Generative Design/Topology Optimization and rapid simulation solution. It enhances the concept development process by enabling simulation-driven design to increase product’s efficiency, strength and manufacturability. This can lead to reduction in material consumption, development time, and overall cost.
Inspire enables users to create new design concepts as well as modify and optimize existing ones with full parametric modeling in simple and intuitive workflows. Users can exercise familiar, conventional parametric CAD like tools along with doing elegant freeform modeling with poly-NURBS/subdivision technology.
What You Will Do:We are looking for talented, ambitious individual contributors who are passionate about problem-solving and technology. As an equal member of the Inspire Geometry software development team you'd be building high-quality innovative software features for Inspire. You'd be collaborating to develop algorithms, implement workflows including user interface, provide APIs for shared usage and testing and be owner of the functionality to maintain and extend it as needed.
What You Will Need:Basics:
Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or related field
Minimum 2 years of professional experience in software development, preferably in engineering domain related to CAD/CAM/CAE or Manufacturing
Proven experience in C++ programming
Excited to work in a fast-paced, team oriented environment with proactiveness and open-mindedness
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Preferred:
Coding experience with 3D geometry tools like matrices, vectors, transforms, shape representations
Experience with 3D geometric libraries like Parasolid/ACIS/CGAL/OpenVDB/Granite/OpenCASCADE
Knowledge of commercial CAD software like SolidWorks/UG-NX/CATIA/PTC-Creo/OnShape
Experience with game engines like Unity/Unreal Engine
Basic Python knowledge
