Job DescriptionThe North America Send and Onboarding team focuses primarily on the onboarding experience of US and Canadian customers (or anyone globally sending USD or CAD). Important areas of focus for the team include:Building a clear and convenient profile onboarding flow for NA customers.Ensuring that our verificationprocesses are compliant, streamlined, and cost-effective.Enabling customers to be in a position to be ready to send money and use our products as quickly and seamlessly as possible.This role will give you the opportunity to:Choose your own path to success– you’ll have the freedom to define the vision and the responsibility for making it happenBe flexiblein how and where you work, we understand everyone needs a little something different so we’ll do our best to make it happenTravelto work with our teams in our offices around the worldInspire teamswith your ideas, knowledge and self-starting attitude
QualificationsA bit about you:You’repassionateabout helping others and keen to roll up your sleeves and take ownership to drive company-wide impactA strong product mindset, you prioritise work with the customers in mind and make data-driven decisionsSense of ownership and great communication skills to drive projects across teamsYou have solid Java or Kotlin knowledge, experience with Spring framework and microservice best practicesYou believe in and follow best coding practices, code reviews and open feedbackYou mentorand coach junior engineers, fostering their professional development and ensuring high-quality code standards across the teamYou enjoy writing testable code and believe in Test Driven DevelopmentExperience working with relational databases, query optimisation and designing schemasExperience with CI/CD pipelines and Distributed and Concurrent SystemsYou have strongcommunication skillsandthe ability to articulate complex and technical concepts across multiple teamsYou’re willing to travel and interested in working with and learning from our Engineers across our global officesYou’re excited to work in a disruptive, fast-growing and fun environmentSome extra skills that would be great to have:You’ve worked withlarge distributed systemsExperience withKubernetes is a plus
