Machine Learning Postdoctoral Scholar

The Computational Biosciences Group in the Computational Research Division at Berkeley Lab is seeking a Machine Learning Postdoctoral Scholar. This position will focus on developing and applying methods to integrate LLMs and GNNs at scale, combining sequence and structure modalities of proteins towards enhancement of protein function.What You Will Do:Develop and apply methods to integrate LLMs and GNNs at scale.Write high-quality code.Prepare visualizations of data results.Present results to colleagues and scientific audiences.Publish data and write papers.Additional Responsibilities as Needed:Assist in grant writing.What is Required:PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, data science, or related fields.Experience with LLM and/or GNNs.Must be able to work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment and exhibit good communication skills.Experience with scientific programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Python).
