Thrive Here.Additional Job Description:WVU Medicine is seeking a Regional Medical Director for our Emergency Medicine Division Eastern operations.Job Description Overview:The Regional Medical Director (RMD) will plan and direct all aspects of WVU EM policies and programs within the region. The RMD will be responsible for strategic clinical relationships with hospital administration, site medical directors, and providers within the region and ensure all clinical sites within the regional comply with WVU Emergency Medicine/SMG Policies. The candidate should have extensive leadership experience and demonstrate the ability to plan and execute goals as set forth by WVU Emergency Medicine/SMG. The candidate will perform a variety of complex tasks as well as lead and direct the work of other physicians, PA/NPs, and other administrative and clinical staff as outlined below. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, high-quality Emergency Medicine group and offers an excellent compensation and benefits package.In summary, the RMD will provide on-site support in management of the clinical aspects of the Emergency Medicine Division operations as outlined in more detail on the following page. These will include:Departmental operations and staffingNew contract start-upsQuality ImprovementPatient SatisfactionAdditional information:Qualified candidates must be board eligible or board-certified in emergency medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine or the American Board of Osteopathic Emergency MedicineThe Regional Medical Director will oversee several locations in Eastern, WV including large community emergency departments and critical access facilities. Emergency department locations volume range from 15,000 to 55,000 patient visits per year and are currently located in Keyser, Martinsburg, and Ranson, WV.WVU Medicine/ System Medical Group is a dynamic organization with the goal to provide high-quality care to the citizens of West Virginia and surrounding regions, backed by a tertiary-care academic medical center.
