Iowa & IllinoisPosition Responsibilities:Explaining procedures to patients, preparing patients for x-ray procedures, and performing x-ray exams while producing the highest quality images safely and efficientlyEnsuring equipment is in working order and reporting all equipment malfunctions to the Radiology SupervisorInspecting exam rooms for cleanliness and equipment condition; stocking and maintaining exam rooms with adequate suppliesUtilizing radiation protection equipment, shielding materials, and other safety techniques to reduce exposure of radiation to patients, self, and co-workersUnderstanding Arthrogram and injection processes, working with the MRI department to prepare sterile injections, and assisting Advanced Practice Providers with injectionsMaintains patient confidentiality and complies with all HIPAA rules and regulationsRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent is requiredGraduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology requiredAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) certification requiredLicense in IA & IL is requiredOne year of x-ray experience is requiredFlexibility to work some evenings and SaturdaysAbility to commute reliably to all ORA locations as neededORA Orthopedics is the Quad Cities' largest and most comprehensive orthopedic provider, proudly offering an integrated continuum of orthopedic care that includes orthopedic sub-specialty clinics, walk-in care at our Urgent OrthoCARE clinics, diagnostic imaging, bracing, physical therapy, pharmacy and outpatient surgery.
