Brightspeed is searching for a Senior Engineer to join our team! As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and preparation of ISP engineering work orders for land developments, new buildings, DSL Growth opportunities, DSL, FTTN, FTTH, FTTT, road relocations, augmentation projects, and special circuit requests. You will be utilizing the following tools: IQGEO, NDS, AutoCAD, Fireworks/Bid master, JDS, FORTE, WFMT, ARMOR, TIRKS, LFACS, and the full suite of Microsoft Office. As a Senior Engineer, you will be assigned a geographic area and will be responsible for all ISP job requests. In this role, you will design and implement ISP plans to support a wide range of fiber service deployments, positive interaction with internal and external customers, maintain open conversation with planning and all company departments providing a high quality of service to Brightspeed customers.As Senior Engineer, your responsibilities will include:Developing/defining plans for the implementation of new ISP installation or modifications to existing facilitiesPreparing plans and specifications, to include gathering field dataAssuring that the most feasible, practical, and economical means to complete the work are utilizedProviding cost data to support capital planning and budgetingMonitoring and controlling project expenditureOverseeing the installation/construction and testing of plant facilitiesAnalyzing local and wide area network systems and/or customer network environment, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting operating systems and protocol suites, and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devicesResolving interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms including e-mail, files transfer, multimedia, teleconferencing and the likeConfiguring systems to user environmentsSupporting acquisition and implementation of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as neededCAN LIVE ANYWHERE IN MISSOUIQualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:Associate degree or equivalent education and relevant experience8 years related experience in telecommunications, engineering, or network planning or equivalentKnowledgeable and skilled in planning and/or engineeringKnowledgeable and able to work in appropriate systems and Microsoft OfficeAbility to work with Planning, Operations, and all internal and external customers, maintain budget, and assist with forecasting budgetsAbility to maintain positive interaction between all governing authoritiesExcellent oral and written communication skills#LI-RM1Additional Information
