DescriptionThe evolving Cyber landscape requires research and development of emerging technologies to imagine the future state of the art of CNO capabilities that advance the Cyber mission.The Leidos Office of Technology supporting the Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA) is seeking an enthusiastic Cyber Researcher & Developer to join a diverse team of researchers contributing to an internal research and development portfolio focused on CNO.The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in two (or more) of the areas listed to solve some of the most challenging problems in the Cyber domain: Embedded Development, Vulnerability Research, Reverse Engineering, Software and/or Hardware Engineering, AI/ML, and/or Advanced Networking.This role will support the growth of Cyber for Leidos and CABA and requires an individual who can effectively contribute to various projects, develop proof of concepts, and contribute to/lead demonstrations.Primary Responsibilities (supporting one or more of the following):Reverse Engineering and Vulnerability Research.Researching novel hardware or software based CNO capabilities.Applying knowledge of security concepts and networks.Exploring systems to devise new features, vulnerabilities, and techniques.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 4 to 8 years of relevant work experience focused on low-level development and CNO.Experience in at least three of the following is preferred:Embedded experience, driver and kernel level.Knowledgeable of Linux.Knowledgeable of Android.System-level programming or development of embedded systems.Proficiency in C/C++ and Assembly for x86, PowerPC, MIPS, or ARM.Expertise in reverse engineering hardware, firmware, and software.Experience utilizing Ghidra, IDA Pro, Radare, Rizin, or Binary Ninja.Experience in vulnerability research and the application of fuzzing tools.Knowledge of network programming and protocols.Scripting experience with Python, Ruby, or JavaScript to generate and demonstrate prototypes and proof of concepts.US Citizen with an active Secret Security Clearance and willingness and ability to upgrade to TS/SCI with Poly.Preferred Qualifications:US Citizen and a TS/SCI with Poly Security Clearance.Familiarity with various Linux distributions, Real-Time Operating Systems (e.g., VxWorks, Integrity, QNX) or POSIX compliant Operating Systems like Solaris or BSD.Experience using commercial or open-source signal and protocol analyzers.Familiarity with advanced networking concepts and communications systems.Experience with network test equipment i.e., Spirent/Ixia/Xena.Understanding of platform virtualization and emulation.Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concepts.
