IGT Play Digital is seeking a passionate, adaptive, hard-working Mathematician/Game Designer ready to apply their skills in this fast-paced creative industry, with an emphasis on maintaining and designing best in-class gaming experiences.This remote position offers the opportunity to work from anywhere while contributing to our online studio in the Pacific time zone and support our studios in Manchester, Belgrade, and Timisoara.What You’ll Do

Support conversions of highly rated IGT land-based titles to compelling online experiencesCreate game math for original games and provide math documentation for originals and ports of land-based games to engineersTest mathematical outcomes to assure quality and accuracy (through calculations in MS Excel, programming, and other various proprietary tools)Employ meticulous attention to detail to achieve optimal designs for mathematical documentation, including math models, game logic, PAR sheets, and customer-facing communicationCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams including producers, artists, engineers, and others throughout development, across all our online studiosWork with other designers and mathematicians to brainstorm new concepts, create math and prototypes, keep our game characteristics database up to date, peer review documentation, and improve our templates and processesExtensively play test all games in studio development with detailed verbal or written feedback around all aspects of the player experience: math, art, sound, messaging, game pacing, and user interfaceStay up to date on performance data and industry trends to help identify future game mechanics and to better understand different market preferences in Europe, Canada, North America, and specific lottery-based casino customersAbout You

Experience with real money wagering casino gamesBackground in Combinatorics, Probability Theory, and StatisticsSolid experience with MS Excel, creating and adapting large and complex spreadsheetsBasic programming knowledge and aptitude for learning advanced programing techniques using C++, C#, or similar language, for simulating game logicStrong critical thinking skills, attention to details, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication skills and must be able to clearly explain and present technical and non-technical ideas in EnglishWhat We’d Prefer

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., game design, mathematics, statistics, or computer science) or equivalent experiencePassion for games of all kinds
