Worship Leader

The Worship Leader works with and under the direction of the Pastor, while leading the Worship Ministry and Raymond Christian Fellowship (RCF). Working with the Holy Spirit, this person will plan, design, coordinate, and facilitate a collective worship experience. The Worship Leader will have to understand the Scripture and the church culture to provide a Worship Ministry that provides an opportunity for individual and collective spiritual growth at RCF. The RCF Worship Leader is a part-time position that falls under the status of clergy for tax purposes. The position is rated for 10-12 hours per week, including about four hours on Sunday morning. Regular participation in planning meetings and coordination with the Pastor is required. Availability for funerals, weddings, and special events may be requested at additional compensation.Duties and Responsibilities:Plan and execute the music portion of the Worship ServiceCoordinate musicians for the Worship ServiceProvide the needed music sheets for the musiciansPlan, introduce, and practice new musicOperate the sound system as neededBuild and provide lyrics slides in PowerPoint (or other used app) for the Worship Service slidesLead the Worship Team in prayer as well as rehearsalsPlay traditional and contemporary worship music as guided by the Pastor and DeaconsPosition Qualifications:Must be a follower of Jesus ChristAdhere to the beliefs of RCF laid out in our constitution and listed on our website: Our Beliefs – Raymond Christian FellowshipOur Mission Statement will need to guide any leader at RCF; “We exist to guide people of our community to become mature followers of Jesus Christ”Play one or more: guitar, keyboard, or pianoDevelop and encourage musical skills and/or gifts of the churchIncorporate the musical gifts of the church into Sunday servicesHave a desire to bring a heart of worship to each serviceApplication Deadline:
