Job Description Summary:The Pharmacy Manager is a licensed professional responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and providing safe and appropriate pharmacy services to Option Care patients. They coordinate patient services with other departments, manage budgeting, purchasing, control, and security of drug products and medical supplies. The Pharmacy Manager assists in meeting operational and financial goals.Job Responsibilities:Determines suitability of patients for home care.Supervises, monitors, and evaluates patient care provided by pharmacy staff.Manages daily activities for effective operations and communications.Directs pharmacy department activities and schedules work to meet patient needs.Develops and mentors staff through training, development opportunities, and performance management.Oversees product purchasing, inventory, budget, and equipment management.Supports sales professionals and educates managed care organizations about services.Monitors documentation on pharmacy care plans and ensures medication preparation and dispensing follow policies.Coordinates on-call responsibilities and manages investigational drug products.Supervisory Responsibilities:YesBasic Education and/or Experience Requirements:Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.Current, active Pharmacy license.5-7 years of experience in a clean room or infusion pharmacy setting OR 3 years of experience with specific qualifications.3 years of people management experience.2 years of budget management experience.Basic Qualifications & Interests:Experience in compounding sterile products and managing patient care.Experience overseeing purchasing and inventory processes.Access to reliable transportation for home visits.Active membership in a related organization.Experience in identifying operational issues and providing customer service.Basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Travel Requirements:Willing to travel up to 5% of the time for business purposes.Preferred Qualifications & Interests:Post-graduate residency program in clinical pharmacy services.Board certification in relevant areas.Experience in inventory and logistics management.5 years of experience in compounding sterile products and managing complex infusion patients.3 years of experience in overseeing purchasing and inventory processes.
